At our institute it is currently still possible to take part at the program. However, people who are interested in doing an exchange in winter term 2020/21 should be aware that the Universities plans for winter term are blended learning scenarios.

Welcome to the Department for Art and Education of the University of Leipzig! The institute is located in the heart of Leipzig’s historical downtown.
In the courses which familiarize students with the nature of artistic works and processes, insights in the structure and development of artistic production, reception, and reflection are gained.
Leipzig, as an important worldwide center for painting, graphic arts, book art, photography, and media art is the ideal place for studiying art education. The Museum of Fine Art, the Gallery of Contemporary Art, the Museum for Applied Arts, the art halls of the Sparkasse, and the gallery centers in the old factory halls of the spinnerei with internetionally renowned galleries like the gallery EIGEN+ART, offer the best invorinment for those interested in art.
Apart from museums and galleries, the variety of small clubs, theaters, and cinemas with extensive cultural programmes, including alternative programmes make up the cultural fundaments of the city of Leipzig – one of Europe´s most traditionally rich music towns.
During the semester there are a lot of projects, events and exhibitions which are often developed and organized by students.
